Chase is a senior undergraduate student at Virginia Tech, majoring in Chemistry and Biochemistry.
Research
Chase assists the NIMML team and its graduate students in conducting research by performing vital experimental techniques, as well as maintaining and advancing a functional laboratory environment for in vivo studies. Chase’s research interests involve immune pathways and pathogenesis of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), development of novel therapeutics for autoimmune conditions, and how these diseases are affected by the human gut microbiome. He plans on entering a PhD program focusing on fields such immunology, molecular biology, or pharmacology.
