Adria Carbo granted the recognition of Doctor of Philosophy in Genetics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology

Blacksburg, VA – June 16th 2014

The Nutritional Immunology and Molecular Medicine Laboratory is very happy to announce that Adria Carbo successfully passed his final defense exam and he has been granted the recognition of Doctor of Philosophy in Genetics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology.

Adria arrived to the lab in 2009 from Barcelona, Spain, as an undergraduate intern. He worked in several projects and started his doctoral studies in 2010. Based on Adria’s outstanding research accomplishments related to modeling immune responses to Helicobacter pylori and CD4+ T cell differentiation, Adria’s advisory committee composed of Drs. Bevan, Hoops, Hontecillas and Bassaganya-Riera, positively voted to grant Adria his very well-deserved doctoral degree.

From the NIMML Lab we congratulate Dr. Adria Carbo for his hard work over the last 4 years and a successful dissertation defense!
