Anita Yang

Biography

Anita is a sophomore undergraduate student at Virginia Tech, majoring in Biochemistry and minoring in Chemistry. Prior to joining the NIMML team, Anita did a semester of undergraduate research with Dr. Felicia Etzkorn under the Chemistry Department. This research consisted of Organic Chemistry in which reduced amides were synthesized as Pin1 inhibitors, which are potential cancer therapeutics. By joining the NIMML team, Anita will extend her interest in medicinal research. She plans on going to pharmacy school upon graduation.
